How each organisation can benefit from writing training depends upon the application.

Here are just a few examples:

Marketing professionals. You may have a whole team of in-house marketing professionals whose job includes producing copy for an external audience. Very few, if any, of these individuals will have been formally trained to write. Typically, they will produce copy slowly, it will be of variable quality and there will be a marked lack of consistency with regards to the marketing messages and structure of the documents produced by the team.

Newsletter editors. Many organisations produce newsletters of one kind or another. With the advent of the web, online versions are becoming positively commonplace. These can be an excellent means to establish and maintain a relationship with a wide community of interest. And yet their very proliferation makes success increasingly elusive.

Web teams creating online copy. There is a world of difference between 'brochure' copy and writing that has been optimised for the web. But how many people tasked with writing for the company's website appreciate this?

Sales professionals. So much time money and energy is spent on producing advertising and marketing copy. And yet perhaps the most important documents of all - sales documents - are often produced by people with no writing training whatsoever. Training can dramatically improve the quality, efficiency and also consistency of such critical documents.

Managers. Whether writing reports or creating business proposals, a lot of the tangible products of a manager's job takes the form of paperwork of one kind or another. Writing skills are often crucial. Most managers could benefit immediately and enormously simply by learning how to apply structured outlining techniques to their writing.

Customer service personnel. Written communications permeate every walk of professional life. Some of the most important documents are those written by customer service personnel. Their structure, their angle, and their tone of voice can all contribute significantly to the overall impression you create in the minds of the recipient.
